Top 5 things to know:
- If you see ICE, call (855) AYU-DAR1 (855) 298-3271.
- If you have one, present a red card to any law enforcement agent trying to talk to you. See here for Spanish and here for Amharic.
- Arlington Public Schools, including Drew, do not collect immigration information on students and therefore, cannot share any immigration information about students or their families. See FERPA
- Complete a fillable, downloadable, and printable Family Preparedness Plan.
- Make a list of people or places to contact in case you are taken into custody.
Drew’s Policy if Federal Agents Show up at School:
- Drew does not release confidential student information or allow access to students without the proper legal documentation and authorization
- This process includes careful review and consultation with APS’s legal department to ensure that all actions align with APS’s commitment to protecting its students’ well-being and privacy.
